What is your background?I have lived in Arizona almost all of my life and am a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Arizona State University. I passed the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) Exam on my first attempt and have worked in accounting over eighteen years.
Why should I use a CPA?CPAs must pass a comprehensive 2 day exam covering all aspects of accounting. In addition relevant work experience, a background check and an ethics exam must be completed before the state will issue a CPA certificate. To stay current on issues, 80 hours of continuing education are also required every two years--I usually take well over 100 hours. In Arizona, accountants who are not certified do not have to meet any requirements.
What type of clients do you handle? Most of my clients are individuals requiring tax preparation, accounting and financial strategy. Also, as a Certified QuickBooks Pro AdvisorŪ I work with a number of small businesses needing help with their tax and accounting. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the complexity of business clients I am unable to take on new business returns during tax season.
What is required of me?Since I deal with individuals and small businesses, I understand tax and accounting issues are not and should not be your most important concern. I make your record keeping as simple and quick as possible. I also take the time to answer all of your questions in full.
What fees are charged ?I know price is a critical factor. Like any service the cost varies based on the time it takes. As a guide, most personal tax returns average $225-$450. However, if you own a business, have many investments or some other tax complexity your fees will be higher. Feel free to call to discuss your situation and I'll be able to give you a more accurate quote.
What else does the fee include? When I finish your tax return, accounting or consulting project that is the start of my service not the end. I will answer any questions you have during the current year by phone or email at no charge. A quick call during the year can often save a great deal in taxes at the next year-end.
What about the IRS and other government agencies?Although everyone dreads an audit I stand behind any work I do. As a CPA, I can act as your legal representative before the IRS. This way I can go in your place to a tax audit. Additional fees will apply to any audit exceeding two hours of work.
What is the next step? The next step is completely up to you. If you would like to discuss this further please give me a call at (480) 991-2820, email, or fill out the request info sheet.Back to Top
